They work
These crossbars have a much better range of extension than those that came with my '08 FJC. I did find however that the seats of the end clamps don't mesh up perfectly and I had to use some dense foam to make the end clamps tighten down.

Adjustable crossbar can be placed anywhere on the factory rack.
I attempted to relocate one of the lower crossbars to the top in order to carry a surfboard. Discovered that the crossbars are not adjustable for length and are therefore limited in their placement. This adjustable version resolves that issue.

It works.
Ergonomic, very adjustable and solid when in place. Have not loaded it yet. The only thing I would have liked is the replace the thumbscrew on the clamp with a security, keyed screw. I have already lost the original due to theft.
