I purchased this as a replacement for my MacBook 128 GB SSD. I am so excited!!! It is twice faster. Has 8 times more capacity. It even seems to be colder then a native one. And for around $110 with adapter it feels like a great deal.

It's a wonderful drive if you get it for about $115 or less. There are some issues with the cache size but it should be fine if you stay under 800gb and you will only see slight decreases in performance if you go over that. If you fill it almost completely (Red zone on Windows) then you will experience more slowdowns but it should still perform much better than an HDD. It should also not be purchased for very heavy use case scenarios, like frequent 1tb write cycles. Basically, it's meant for average consumer use. I use it as a game library drive.

Hands down, this is the best value you'll find anywhere for NVMe. I've purchased two of these so far to upgrade different models of MacBook Pro, with a M.2 adapter from Sintech. Sure, it's not going to be as fast as, say, a Samsung EVO, but what you get in return is less heat and power consumption; ideal traits for a laptop. Oh, and a 5-year manufacturer warranty is awesome.

The SSD installed easily. If you are first cloning your existing SSD, be sure you have the right kind of drive enclosure for the replacement SSD. There are more than one variety. You need M.2 2280 NVMe. (NVMe is the critical difference, as there are other varieties of M.2 2280 enclosures). The Intel SSD generates some heat, as all of these SSDs do, but it was noticeably less than my previous SSD.

Works well in MacBook Pro 13" (Late 2013) when used in conjunction with a Sintech NGFF M.2 nVME SSD Adapter Card. Less expensive alternative to OWC SSDs for that Mac Model, but equivalent or better performance. Easy to install.
