I bought this for my girlfriends PSP. It looked official, but I quickly realized it wasn’t. The battery was too light, when compared to the original. The back of the battery didn’t look the same, and it didn’t fit the psp. She and I would play the PSP and if we shifted a certain way, the system would shut off. That was due to it not fitting correctly in the battery slot. I had to use some of the cardboard packaging to wedge it in the battery slot just to keep it from wiggling free and making us lose our game progress. Even with the battery wedged, we get a max life of 2-3 hours. It’s a joke. Do not buy this item at all. Just use your old, worn out battery, and keep it plugged into the wall via the ac adapter. No, it isn’t portable that way, but I would rather be tethered to the wall, than buy this trash. Read full review

This does not seem to be an original product. It will not take a charge or hold a charge. I have to keep the PSP plugged into the outlet for it to work.
