Added 2x8gb ram to my motherboard and the I7 crashed (shouldn't have, it was 2x8gb 2400mhz ram) Everytime I tried to do anything, the computer screen would go black, then come back on a few minutes later! I put the original ram back in, but same result. Changed motherboard to I3 processor, everything worked fine, back to normal! Apparently, the ram crashed the I7 or the I7 was bad to begin with! I bought the I7 used, might have been overclocked.

So far so good. The challenge of buy a used CPU is 'will it last', so my review is simply wait and see. It is working great so far and I hope it will last as long as my previous build which is now 5 years old and going strong.

Fast CPU. For normal use (i.e. basic gaming and/or workstation) I would have stuck with my i3-6100), but the upgrade was great for the virtualization and heavy graphics use.
