Plugged it in to my IPhone X, inserted an SD card into the slot - nothing. Checked for directions in the package - none. Started searching online and discovered you have to download an app first in order for the reader to work. I downloaded the app on my IPhone X and I have about 50% success rate seeing pictures from my trail cam SD cards - seems to depend which type of trail cam made the pictures. Not impressed.

Bought this with the intention of using with iPhone, I have a 12 Pro. After downloading the app, it still won’t load any pics. It may be an older model that the phone technology has passed it up. Haven’t tried an Android. Probably would look at something different.

Don't waste your money! Believe the reviews, these things are JUNK! I've tried it on both Android and iPhone. Even with the recommended apps. Buy a Wildgame Innovations card reader.
