Well priced repalcement of the OEM hook-n-loop (Velcro) pad that holds abrasion discs.
The 3 yes/no questions eBay gives me make no sense for the product being reviewed. But that doesn't matter. The product is a perfectly fine replacement for the original pad. The original lasted for well over 15 years, but eventually, the hook-n-loop was coming loose from the pad. I thought I could just replace the hook-n-loop, but none of the solutions that looked like they might do that were any good. Replacement of the entire pad is the way to go. And for the price, it's a no-brainer. Pull the 4 screws, throw the old one right in the trash, install the new one, and tighten the screws back down. There were 2 locating pins that were in the sander that this part didn't have predrilled the way the original did. But the backing material crushed right around the pins with no problems. Just push down with your hand to force the pins into the material. Then retighten the screws as this will make more room for them to turn. This pad is a tad larger diameter and a little thicker than the original. Although I don't see this as a negative.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ryobi backing pads should be a better fit.
The mounting screw bolt center was slightly too small which required they be slotted to properly mount. A minor inconvenience but should be addressed. Didn't effect the operation of the sander once modified.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
