Perfect fit. Problem solved. Buy it.
My 11 year old son and I put this in the rear tailgate lift gate of our 2000 Ford expedition XLT and fixed it. Easy to remove old broken cable. Then snap this one into place. Several you tube videos showing you how. I used wd40 sprayed on the connector to allow it to fit into the very tight metal connector location which helped greatly. I was unable to push it into the connector without the spray. It is a tight fit. I used the flat part of a screwdriver to push it in. Buy it. Or never open your tailgate or window again. It fits on both the tailgate and the window
