This laptop is about 10 years old and still performs well.I updated it to the fastest cpu it can take(Core 2 duo 2.2ghz)3gb ram, 240 gb hard drive, windows 10 pro and it's quite speedy.It also connects to 2.4 and 5g networks.It does what I want and I'm happy with it.The battery charges fully but drains quick.That's because it's a used battery so I'll replace it with a new one and see how long it last.

I'm running Ubuntu 16.04, and the 2 Gigs of Ram are inadequate. Well have to see how difficult and expensive getting up to 4 Gig will be. It behaves flaky on startup, some times going into computer limbo, and then I have to do a HW restart. Hopefully, memory upgrade will fix it. My friendly neighborhood ubuntu guru is also trying to talk me into a faster HDD, too. I hope that doesn't turn out to be necessary. I really hope it does, because I just plain like this machine mechanically. I especially like the built-in scroll/mouse fell.
