I was skeptical when I opened the box. There seems to be some sort of carbon scoring on the cpu I have never seen on one before, but, I bought this for a basic build I could take to work and not worry about cost. For $100 i got this cpu and a z77 its mobo here on ebay, paired it with an rx460, 16gbs of 1600mhz ram (OC'd to 2100) and an old coolermaster air cooler made back during the socket 775 era and damb, 4.7ghz at max 70c and we're off to the RTS and some open world races. Not a single game I play dips down to 30 fps. That is, I play They are Billions, Civilization 5 and 6, some Minecraft and i use a drawing pad for artwork. Things that I can pause at work when i actually need to you know, work. Very happy with the purchase.

What is happening here! I installed this processor (i5-3570) on ASUS motherboard (P8Z68-V LX) includes latest bios (4105), but processor runs at 1.60GHz speed. Why? What went wrong here? The stated Base Frequency is 3.40GHz. The stated Turbo Frequency is 3.80GHz. Does the motherboard fully supports this processor, it is stated on ASUS website that it do support this processor from bios version 3904. My computer is slow but very stable. That is the only good part------stable.

Got this to upgrade my old Dell XPS 8500 and I was not mistaken. This is a great CPU for most anything you may come up against. My gaming computer has a 4690K and this thing runs just below it for half the price of the next gen i5 CPU. Great upgrade that keeps an older Z77 series board relevant for anything out side of video editing or super high CPU needs.

I needed to upgrade the processing power on my sons PC. This is the fastest unlocked chip available in this particular product line. It let me take advantage of the A.I. overclocking feature of his motherboard.

Removed my old Core-i3 2100 and dropped in this Core i5-3570, put the cover back on and started up the PC. It's been working great for a week now and is a noticeable performance improvement.

i5-3570k was easy to install, temp on idle is a little high 40C on a liquid cooler. Gonna have to reapply paste I'll edit review with new idle temp. Edit: Reapplied thermal paste and now get 32C on idle.

i'm running newer games still at high settings (although i have a 1080ti doing some good work) overclocked at 4.4 ghz and runs perfectly at 38-48 degrees C even with hours of gaming. i have a inexpensive Cooler Master 212 Evo that takes away any heat

This beats out some I7 CPU's because of its low power consumption and overclock ability. This in combination with GTX 960 or 970 will get you great FPS (42-65) 1080p Max settings.

The Ivy Bridge gen of intel CPUs are the among the best ever made and still out perform Newer CPUs! I am still using a 3570k and have no problems with it handling any of the workloads I put at it! Its crazy how well these CPUs have held up and if you want to build a PC on a budget this is where I would start!
