This is the processor that finished the age of real revolution in processor design. Newer i7's make fractional improvements in performance but the only reason to upgrade is due to chipset features that can generally be added at the expense of PCI lanes. These are nicely overclockable with anything but the stock cooler. Ours runs on a z77 intel board and keeps up with the rest of the i7's in the house and beats an older Xeon by just a bit in a "seat-of-the-pants" test. PerfMark shows more of the whole story but that's not super relevant for the non-workstation user once you are above the 2500 mark... for now anyway.

The Cpu itself is great and the packing was perfect! The only negative i could say is that these types of posts annoy me as I was looking at lots of cpu's and this photo makes it appear you are buying multiple yet only recieved one.

Wow! I used this to upgrade a client's computer to the highest processor the motherboard would support, and what a difference it made! With 16GB of RAM and an SSD, this computer is now like something you would buy brand new for around a quarter of the price. It was easy to install and made a huge difference from the Core i3 that was in there.

Purchased this to replace the i5-3570K in my girlfriend's PC. I've had it clocked at 4.8GHz for the last 5+ years, and it's been rock-solid, under 60C load with a Noctua NH-U14S. Perfect 4x Core CPU. But I wanted to upgrade her PC without upgrading everything else, so I went with the best Z77 CPU - the i7-3770K. Works great! I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't reach 4.8GHz like my 3570K, but it seems to be stable at 4.6GHz while being under 70C load. Not bad. 4x extra threads for 200MHz less clock frequency? I'll take it.

As advertised, the i7 core has been a great upgrade from my i5 core. Easy install, even for someone new to computers like myself. Just watched some youtube videos. Also upgraded my graphics card and I can run games i like now.

Product was perfect. Performs perfect & they took extra care to make sure I took the steps necessary before replacement to ensure the computer was prepared for the new chip. Very happy, would recommend & will use again.

Since this is the highest processor that I put on my MB, short of finding an Intel Black chip would work, I can only say that any still in the sealed box processor in this case and at the price is a good deal. Just be aware that the Intel fan is junk and look for a Zalman fan or something similar to replace it. I re ran the Windows performance test after I installed it and it did bump it up.

Replaced a i5 3570K with this i7 3770K and what a difference. I am a flight simmer flying using P3D v4. I was able to turn up my graphics and still improved my fps by 40fps. Installation was a snap and overclocking was very easy.

The Intel 3770K has been a rock solid CPU on water cooling running 4.6GHz, Gaming, Video, Adobe Photo editing, Kodi Server.

Works great...played around a little with overclocking...but started to run too hot. Get a good fan if you plan to over clock... standard fan won't be enough.. but it works fine with out over clocking...
