Rotor quality questionable
Distributor and cap seem great so far, but plastic glue tabs that hold rotor nose together broke after the first rev up while setting timing, on a stock 454, left little plastic and metal chunks all over in my brand new distributor. Mine was on a run stand so it was an easy fix, fished out the broken pieces, replaced junk Rotor with an an American made Echlin, all seems good now. Maybe an isolated quality problem?

I needed a new distributor because the previous Chinese one I bought online was not working correctly. The mechanical advance did not work at all. I ordered this Accel distributor and installed it right out of the box. It performed well and continues to do so. I couldn't be more pleased.
