In this respect the Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver can also keep you up to date with goings-on in your area. Many radio stations currently offer digital HD radio with more stations adding digital HD radio to their programming every day. Currently, over 1,700 stations, covering 85 percent of the United States, offer digital HD radio. In addition to its superior sound quality, the Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver has other benefits. Many digital HD radio stations can multicast or broadcast up to seven programs on their existing frequency, meaning an increased variety in your favorite radio stations’ programming. The Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver shows these multicast stations with their existing frequency with their multicast number (for example, 105.9-1, 105.9-2, etc). The Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver has a hybrid AM/FM tuner and so can relay both digital HD radio and analog radio if HD radio reception is currently unavailable in your area. Additional features of the Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver include a bright, LED backlit display, which shows station information (including RDS information where available), signal strength and a spectrum analyzer, and the ability to preset tuning for up to 40 stations: 10 each on the FM1, FM2, AM1, and AM2 bands. Your favorite local radio stations are never more than a button press away. The controls on the front of the Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver component have both Seek up/down and HD Seek up/down, so you can access the clearest audio no matter which radio broadcast modes are in your area. The tuner’s frequency range covers, on FM and HD FM bands, 87.5-108.1 megahertz; and on AM and HD AM bands, 520-1710 kilohertz. All this functionality is held in a receiver measuring 17 inches wide, 3 inches high and 10 inches deep, making the Sangean HDT-1 Satellite Radio Receiver portable enough to take anywhere you go. Great sound, and it runs a long time on 4 rechargeable "C" cells.

Good sound radio
It is bigger than I thought it would be but still not overly huge. It weighs 6lbs 10oz on my scale and measures from the outside of the roll cage 12 inches wide by 9 inches high. Wanted it for a kitchen radio but might be a little large for my counter. The sound quality is real good, has a nice bass sound to it. Reception is real good too. Didnt have the antenna put on yet and it was still picking up stations just fine. It takes rechargeable batteries C type to operate remotely. Great radio to replace my Dewalt
The guys totalled the Dewalt Work Radio and I wanted to get something new.
