For music you feel in your bones, introduce the Sonos SUB to your music system. This unique speaker has a glossy finish to its exterior with an O-shape that transforms the traditional subwoofer box. With a wired 120-volt input on the base, the sub-powered speaker from Sonos is a versatile unit in nearly any household space. The O-shape that's unique about this home theater addition isn't just an aesthetic decision because it actually controls the vibrations moving out of the speakers. In fact, you can place your hand on the cabinet and no shaking will be felt during either low or high volumes as the 8-ohm impedance continues on. The Sonos speaker features two force-canceling drivers positioned face to face, so you get all of the sound and energy from the music. These audio accessories use basic physics and sound waves to create a highly efficient sound quality that works with many different components, including Play 1, 3, and 5 products. Compatible with all Sonos speakers, this compact unit packs enough power to fill any room with soul-shaking sounds offered by the two Class-D digital amplifiers. Enjoy a frequency response that drives down to 25Hz, which is an incredibly low frequency during those booming songs or action movies. All of the sound emanating from the subwoofer system is a result of the digital signal processing circuitry (or DSP) that offers active equalization and filtering during every use. It's possible to add this product in a wireless capacity to other components in your home by simply using the free app. Connect to the bass component by using your mobile phone. Through the app, you simply press one button and then follow the prompts on the controller to initialize the unit. Speakers in the room will play the same songs as the SUB without any wires that can confuse an installation. Play this component in a horizontal or vertical position because it works just as readily in either orientation. Slide it under a couch, or place it near an entertainment unit with the status indicator facing outward. The white, green, and orange indicator lights will help you decipher the SUB's status as you use them in conjunction with the free application on your smartphone. Continually use the software and Wi-Fi connection so that you can automatically adjust audio settings that perfectly balance your SUB and the paired stereo system. Anyone in the family can set up this great tech unit because no wiring or programming is necessary. You'll find the status and join indicators on the side of the product. Turn the Hi-Fi unit over, and only two connectors greet you on the base. Plug the power into the input port while threading an Ethernet wire onto the adjacent connection. These simple design features give you a basic setup in a matter of minutes. When you place the product in a vertical position, it has rubber feet for a solid standing position. You can also add felt feet to the product for those horizontal orientations.

Great Speaker, not so GREAT PRICE
If you need you get it! The unit is powerful and provided deep full sound for music and movies. Some say its a little overkill. However adjustments can be made to customize through the app. Very expensive!!!

Black and Shiney
I purchased the SONOS Playbar and then the Sub. The sound is very good and I believe better than the Bose Sub it replaced. The only thing I'm not too keen on is the very Shiney finish. It trul is a fingerprint magnet, but thankfully it's just my wife and I and the SUB is located where this should not be an issue. This is a great product,messy to install and incredible bass. It's not cheap, but I'm very happy with my purchase.

Fabulous setup, sorry I waited so long
Been a Sonos fan for a while, have older components scattered around the house for music. Have not been happy with my current surround sound for a while. Upgraded to this and it's a serious upgrade. Rich sound, strong bass, put the subwoofer behind the couch and it his me! My wife is happy with it too. Have it set for improved audio on the dialogue and that works well. Five thumbs up here!

Oh the Sound is now great
I am a believer. The sound quality of sonos is simply amazing. I had only the sonos sound bar which I thought was ok, but once I added the sub it took the sound level to yet another level. If you have the sonos sound bar, you should consider getting the subwoofer. I am extremely pleased with both now.

Sonos does it again!
Sonos quality is top notch on the build. The sound quality is superb. The greatest thing is that the way the sub was designed, there is no vibration or buzzing in the cabinet. You can literally put this on a shelf with photo frames and they will not move. Great product and very glad we made the move.
