I NEVER use earbuds. I've been through so many lightweight headphones because I use them on the bike a lot, as well, and they take a bit of abuse, These Panasonics actually sound great. They're full and responsive. I listen to everything with these from baroque & lute music to rock and metal. I would prefer if the headband was a little bit tighter, but they still feel comfortable when wearing them for hours. My fav's were the RadioShack model that's been discontinued so I went back to these. I like the RadioShack version because the cable is on one side, but noone is manufacturing a quality sounding lightweight headphone with a single cable anymore it seems. The foam pads are decent, but it's a good idea to have replacement foams if you're going to be putting these through a lot of use. That's a good sign I guess, If the headphones outlast the foam padding. I had a pair of these that lasted long enough for the printing and logo on the side to wear off and they were still working great.Read full review

I have purchased the lightweight Panasonic headphones for years - probably six or more sets over the years. The recently purchased version is not the exact same as in the previous years. The new set is not comfortable for me. Sound quality is fine, but the new headphones are too "tight". I realize this might vary from person to person, bu for me it is a regression, and I won't be buying this new model again.

I love panasonic. I've used their headphones for years, though the earphones are harder to find lately. I bought these to use with my phone when I'm in bed and they are great! Sound quality is excellent, better than the Onn brand I recently tried (they were like $5 though, so there).

These are the first headphones I've found of this type (small - lightweight - on-ear) that deliver such a wide spectrum of sound. I've owned several different brands of comparable type headphones which I've used for years (Sony, Koss, JVC, etc.) and most do not deliver much bass at all, and some practically none. These, however, produce an amazing amount of bass, comparable to many larger, heavier over-the ear headphones. Yes, the higher and mid-tones are there as you'd expect, like in other headphones of this size but with much better bass, you have a much more realistic listening experience. I was happily surprised when I first used these. As you would expect from these or any small on-ear headphones, they won't block out a lot of background noise and it seems that the much better bass response may use a bit more power - my ipod runs down the battery a little quicker than it did with other small headphones. But, those characteristics aside, I'm very satisfied with my purchase of these. The price of these (usually less expensive than other brands I've seen) also make these a worthwhile purchase. I am a career musician and audio engineer... degree, awards etc etc. Found the Panasonic cans some years ago and keep a couple pairs around. They are not for critical or professional listening. That disclosed. They are comfortable to wear and provide acceptable sound quality. On stage, I've given up wearing a set of in-ear pro level monitors and use the Panasonics.

The phones fit comfortably on your head, and don't press too hard on your ears. Sound quality is good, but could be better. I hear a small amount of distortion. A minor complaint with the right-angle plug. It does not fit well in my smart phone when the smart phone is in its protective case.
