The part itself is of okay quality, but it is important to recognize that it is a poor quality replica of the OEM emblem. It's a small, brittle piece of plastic that shouldn't be worth more than $20, yet I had to purchase it for almost forty dollars. It fits in the Mk6 GTI grille, but it must be forced into place. It juts out on the bottom a few millimeters and does not cover the entire emblem holder. No, it is not installed incorrectly. It is just slightly smaller than the OEM product. Overall, I am not impressed with my purchase.

The tabs are so stiff they don’t allow any flex, everything was lined up but during install the tabs snapped that lock it in place. The mounting tabs are almost identical to the OEM one, except the OEM one is a more flexible plastic to clip in and out. Would not purchase again as I had to throw this away do to the plastic being so brittle and stiff.
