This style of gear box made by Kadee is very useful with HO gauge model trains. They accept knuckle couplers and Hornhook couplers. I use them all the time. Even though I super glue them to engines I also use a screw with therm sometimes. Their snap on top makes changing couplers very, very easy. Kadee makes several types of these snap together gear boxes and I have been very pleased with all styles. I highly recommend these Kadee gear boxes.
