The three-way pan head of the Velbon 5000 is able to pan a full 360 degrees with a 90-degree downwards tilt and 65-degree upwards tilt, and is capable of a 90-degree left swing. It has a pan lock knob and a quick-release camera-mounting plate, giving the Velbon Tripod the ability for fast equipment changes. Ideal for photo and video cameras, the Velbon 5000 with three-way pan head features a sure grip tilt and pan control handle that is used as the locking mechanism when tilting. The legs of the Velbon Tripod are divided into three sections and are equipped with rubber tipped feet and radial leg braces for optimal stability on any terrain. When fully extended, the tripod measures 57 inches in height, and folds to a compact length of 21.3 inches for travel and storage. The aluminum construction provides durability and a carrying weight of 2.4 lbs. The Velbon Tripod also features a gear-operated central column with a locking knob to ensure exact vertical positioning of the camera.
