Product Information

WCW Nitro features a variety of game modes including Exhibition, Exhibition Tag Team, Tournament, Vs, Vs Tag Team, and Royal Rumble. Players can wrestle alone or challenge up to three friends to a Royal Rumble. WCW Nitro also features 64 playable characters with 16 of these available at the beginning of the game. These fighters include such favorites as Hulk Hogan, Giant, Randy Savage, Sting, and Kevin Nash.

Players can choose from several rings in such known locations as Nitro, NWO, American Bash, Halloween Havoc, and WCW. Each fighter also has a large list of diverse moves created appropriately upon their real-life counterpart right down from move selection to execution of the move. Other options include selection of match time from one to five to ten minutes or unlimited, ring out from unlimited to 60 seconds, three different difficulties, ability to turn surprise attacks on or off, ring selection, sound balances, sound mode, and control configuration.

WCW Nitro Preview
Another wrestling game is adding to the PlayStation’s ranks with WCW NITRO from THQ. The game features over 16 superstars, including Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Lex Luger, Kevin Nash, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Sting. Each grappler is completely unique, with over 30 moves that can be performed, and after certain tasks have been completed, there are even more wrestlers that become playable. WCW NITRO contains three different modes: Exhibition, Tag Team, and Tournament. The Tag Team mode lets one player take two men to the ring against two other athletes in an epic battle, where the winner is the last team standing. THQ has even licensed official music from popular bands such as Korn to help get gamers in the fighting mood. WCW NITRO delivers the true wrestling experience with plenty of wrestlers and just as many gameplay options.Read full review

Kind of Difficult to Play
This game has pretty good graphics, but the CPU opponent's really difficult to beat. I played the game a several time but never could win a match...
