This vac has a short cord but think it’s a backpack vac...it’s supposed to be used with an extension cord...duh :-) Great suction for lose dirt. However your item if new it comes with a brush piece that will loosen up dirt/dust and make the job easier. I bought this to help clean my parents old home and it did beyond necessary. It’s so much easier than a traditional vacuum when it comes to commercial cleaning. The suction power is amazing! The only thing I could knock it for is that the tools are friction fit.
