I decided to do an "almost complete" exchange of all of the old transmission fluid in my Honda CR-V. I was reluctant to use any kind of pressurized flush of my system that some shops offer, hearing of some instances where the pressure may be a bit much for some of the components in the transmission...then you can end up potentially having a very expensive rehab of your CR-V's trans. The 8 quarts offered the right amount of fluid. (my 2005 Honda CR-V trans capacity is 7.6 quarts) After watching a YouTube clip on a do-it-yourself job of changing the transmission fluid I learned you will drain only about 3 and a half quarts on the first drain. You then (after filling up the trans again with 3.5 quarts) run the transmission for a while, getting it through all of the gears as the fresh trans fluid will then mix with the remaining 3 and a half quarts old trans fluid inside the transmission...now, you're ready for one more drain interval...again 3.5 quarts will come out...and this is what I mean by an "almost complete" exchange...you are removing most of the old burnt out fluid...with perhaps a marginal amount of older remaining trans fluid left over...all together you will probably use 7 of the 8 quarts from this package deal. ...with an extra quart to spare (at least I did)...also be sure to use the supplied crush washer to minimize leakage. Knowing Factory Authorized Honda mechanic, he assures me that Honda & Acura transmissions can be very finicky about brand used to operate properly. So it's NOT HYPE, use ONLY Factory Authorized Fluid in these vehicles for optimal performance! - Jimmy

Fluid is good and is as pictured. It was a nice extra to include the washer needed for the transmission drain and fill. Better to pay a few extra dollars than to risk using some off brand fluid and have a destroyed transmission.

My Pilot's transmission was acting up and needed a drain and flush. I only use Honda products on it so this fluid worked just great. Now the transmission is running better.

I was looking for this fluid everywhere and couldn't find it. This product is a must if you are flushing your AT for Hondas and Acuras. I would recommend using original fluid instead of aftermarket.

I have an 2011 Honda Accord. I bought this new from Honda in Oregon. With only 39,700 original miles and never having a transmission service in 7 years, I thought it was odd that the dealership here in southern Utah had been doing my for oil changes for the past 7 years had never once said anything about a transmission service. So I decided to get my own Honda transmission oil and have some other professional repair place do the work instead of the dealer. It is better to have products like transmission oil on hand so I can service my Honda when necessary. This product comes from a Honda dealer in California deliver to my door for a better price then my Honda dealer in town. The Honda ATF DW1 IS the only transmission oil that is used in Honda's exclusively.

I used 9 bottles to flush the transmission, the maximum possible amount of fluid to be drained is around 3qts each time, so i drained 3 times to complete the task. Very happy with the result. Of course you can continue to repeat the same procedure as many as you want, but considering 3 times drainage is sufficient for a normal interval service.

While purchasing some dual pump fluid for the rear differential in my Honda CR-V, I asked the parts salesman if he could get anywhere close to this price on ATF and he couldn't even get close. It was an easy job to flush the transmission and hopefully extends the life of the vehicle.

What I needed for changing my transmission fluid, I just bought a used 01 CR-V so no idea when the last time the fluid was changed.
