8 distinct, proven, drive modes for 50 bucks- no brainer.
Another pleasant surprise from Joyo- this thing is great. It has 7 drives on it and a flat boost- designed more for tube amps, thus the boost mode, but it works on solid-state amps as well. Tbh though, on my solid-state amp it was just another drive pedal- for it to really come alive, it wants a valve amp. But, when I connected it to my tube amp- wow, it really comes alive. The "sweety" drive is my favorite because even with the gain turned completely down, it simulates that "edge of breakup" tone everyone always talks about- great for blues or classic rock. And then you can crank the gain up and get a medium gain drive, mid focused. The Tube Screamer has clean signal mixed into it, just like a real screamer. The OCD clone sounds just like the real thing. The "Crunch" channel is a Marshal- sounds great. There are two overdrives- one is transparent and the other is hard clipping like a Klon. This ting does everything from light breakup blues to heavily distorted metal tones.
