Quick and easy to use.. Great results very little work to get the smoke you’re looking for. I like using chips and pellets. I don’t fill up the hopper to the top, also, might need to push down the chips/pellets, that get stuck. Overall great addition to my smoker. I would highly recommend if you can find one..

I am a design engineer by profession. The smoker funnel is design very poorly. I have spend more time helping the funnel to pushing wood chip to the burner. Overtime it gets worst as creosol builds up on the walls making harder for wood chip to come down freely to the base of the funnel. The funnel is not maximize to its potential capacity and masterbuilt engineer could have come up with a better design to hold more wood chip. There is so much space not utilized. It does not produce adequate smoke resulting to all these. I have redesign the internal system of the smoker and have the fab shop put together. Finally I start smoking better and I was able to hold more wood chips in my smoker. I also provided a better air flow through the unit by adding few vents all around,

This is the third one of these smokers I have bought. This one is still in the box. The first one lasted six months of heavy use. The second one lasted three uses. The heating element burns out. Had a friend use a tester to be sure of what was not working. When I called Masterbuilt to see about replacement parts, I was told they do not make parts for these. Just replace to whole item. I searched for something else that would work like this. Nothing. So here I go again. Very nice when it works. Nothing when it doesn't

In stocks form my Master built smoker would not produce smoke unless it was set at 190 degrees which is to hot for making good jerky. Now I can smoke jerky at 140 with full smoke. The difference in taste and texture was amazing.I will be smoking fish and cheese at 100 to 105 with as much smoke as desired. It is a must have.
