Definitely ultra absorbent. Large in size and doesn't leak over. I have used many types of pads and this is one of my top faves. Also the price is better than all others for this quality. There is no other product in my honest opinion that does a better job when you need a disposable pad....I use these for my dog and would not use anything else. They hold odor down to almost none, easy to dispose of. I was old school for many years using newspaper..when I saw these and reviews from people using them for puppy training, so I bought a few packs and that was it for me..I have been using these for years now and would not use anything else. Though these "chux" were designed for use under a patient to absorb fluids in a hospital setting, I use them to line a large rubbermaid storage bin, which, on it's side, houses my kitties' litterbox. Chux absorbs the pee when my tom-cat misses, and catches most of the litter they spill when burying their stuff. When it is time to clean the litterbox, one just tosses the used pad into the trash with the scooped matter. The bin needs just a wipedown with disinfectant, no scrubbing required.
