The Yamaha SV250 and 255 have pickups both in the bridge and body. With a control knob to blend the 2 to your taste. The body pickup gives a great acoustic sound while the bridge pickup moves more towards the electric sounds. having this sort of control makes this violin one of a kind. Also has the Yamaha quality in manufacture and looks. Great instrument. Also very lite just like an acoustic violin.

Great product ...... but as one of the top of the range instruments i thought the chinrest and tailpiece could have been customizable at least and have the audio plug into the body. It needs an on off switch instead having to take the batteries out and the bridge savings needed correcting...but still enjoyable to play.
