Best Mini Food Processor in History Of Food Processi ng

My 30 year old Oskar broke recently after having chopped, diced, shredded and ground dozens of food items, thousands of times. It actually worked better than my $500 large gourmet machine. It looked a little worse for wear with the motor base duct taped together and the food bowl scratched to an opaque etched effect; but it worked like a charm until the motor gave up the ghost after 30 years of loyal service. Since Sunbeam no longer makes this incredible machine, I was thrilled to find a brand new, unused vintage machine to take its place. And this Oskar's performance did not disappoint. It performs just as well as my old one, and I hope to enjoy using it for many years into the future. Sunbeam take note--there is a huge market of former Oskar users out there, start making this machine again.

    Its different but it works.

It does not quite fit the same on attachments, but close enough to turn on the motor. It seams as though it runs faster, sound wise, and spins the chopping blade very fast. On the other hand, my old one may have slowed down without my noticing. I will have to use it more to get a better feel for it. It is like another machine altogether.

  • Built to last

I've had the original Sunbeam Oskar food processor since 1984. It's great! A while back the blade for the work bowl fell through the top rack of my dishwasher and melted on the heating element. I looked at new food processors but really like this one - I made all five of my kids baby food with it and many, many family meals. :-) One day it came to me that I might be able to find spare parts on ebay and found a good selection of spare parts for this appliance. Since I have used it so often I decided to buy not only a replacement blade but a second bowl and blade for times when I'm chopping multiple things for a meal. My 35 year old bowl is still intact, a but more dull than this newer one but still works great. I highly recommend the whole system.

  • Great Little Food Processor

If you look at my picture my old Oskar (on the right) had a product name on the front and the one that was sent to me did not. I was concerned that it was not the same product but it worked fine. I’ve had my Little Oskar for over 30 years. I also have a Mini Cuisinart. But I love how easy the Oskar is to use and having only three pieces to wash (blade, container, and lid). My “new” replacement motor base sounds stronger than my old one that burned out when my daughter left it running for too long. I’m so happy that I’ll have my Little Oskar for another 30 years! It’s a great little product.

  • simple to use; easy to clean; storage not an issue.

simple to use; easy to clean; storage in any normal size cupboard. I've used mine for 25 years and bought this as a gift because my son loved mine and I Sunbeam no longer manufactures this model.

  • Couldn't live without it

Have had Oskar for approx 25yrs. Use it EVERY day. Still working fine but decided to get backup just in case. Ordered 3 over ebay. One each for my daughters also. Hope they enjoy as much as I have over these years. Blade remains sharp & motot still as strong as ever (very strong). Handles all my cooking needs!

  • Vintage Oskar

This is by far the best “chopper” that I have ever used. Beats the new ones. Easy to use, easy to clean and it gets the job done with no hassle. I wish Sunbeam never stopped making this model.

  • OSKAR

Love my Oskar, have another one which has been going strong for over thirty years. Only had to replace the blade just recently. Can't do without it so I decided to get this one when I saw it. It is brand new and I expect it to last another thirty years. It will definitely outlive me.
