Bought to replace a 6i controller in an R710 server. Rcvd in good order and was surprised to find that the BIOS was updated to the most recent version. This is ostensibly an integrated version of the controller that fits into the dedicated 4x PCIe slot on the server PCI riser. It, however, fails to boot in that slot complaining that the lane width expected was x4 and actual was x2. The issue is that the integral slot is PC Gen 1 and not Gen 2 as expected by the card. If you move the card to PCI riser 2 which is Gen 2 PCI the card works as expected but if you have the backup cache battery you'll have to relocate that to the rear of the enclosure. The final lane width ended up to be x4 . A learning curve for sure.........

Raid card and battery were good however the cables that came with the card were not the left angle cables so the cables do not fit properly to the backplane.

I have not continuously used it as it was purchased for older archive server as a spare. Have connected to server checked cards function then removed from sever. I might never need to use. Battery tested good, and cache was correct amount. Quick mailing

It's a cable that did what it needed to do. Came packaged well, and in excellent quality.

The card is right. The cables are wrong. Not the right cables for Dell that require the right angles to fit the backplane.
