Great fix!
It was as good as new and works great so far but I expect it to be fine for a long time. I did not buy the shoddy camshaft they used and left off compression release that was suspected of causing the problem to avoid it happening again. Briggs oil slinger
Installed a used 12 HP on the mower, cranked it up and it tried to rev to the moon!! Pulled engine and removed the crank cover, for some reason the slinger/governor was gone and a washer in it's place. Thought where will I find one of those and got on ebay, placed the order and I was mowing by the next weekend!! Thanks mattbecca for having one in stock!! The oil slinger is a used part that has very little wear. It is exactly like the description provided and was shipped in a well padded box.
