This is a really is a really great deal. However we didn't specify the tube size. We sort of assumed if we order 27 x 1 1/4 we'd get corresponding tubes. Instead we got 700 x 28/32. Which is fine we'll use them for our road and cx bikes. Just make sure you clarify tube size when ordering.

I took a chance on this fairly low priced tire/tube kit because I do not plan to do any serious bike trekking. I just need some functional tires and thought this kit would fill my needs. CONS: The tire sidewalls are super thin, and no matter how I rearranged them on the rims, they will not come out round. This problem seems to be with tire construction. Also, both brand new mounted tubes dropped about 20 psi the first night installed. I expect to lose a little air each time I check pressure, but 20 psi overnight is not acceptable. PROS: Easy to install and stay on the rim well. Contacted seller about the tubes and received a prompt reply, but the reply did not help. OTHER INFORMATION: I put the original 50 year old Japanese tubes back in the new tires, and they have held air just fine for a week. Also, they are a much sturdier tube, well built tube. I will put the tubes from this kit on the shelf for an emergency. CONCLUSIONS: i would not buy this kit again. I was suckered by the fairly low price.Read full review
