I paid around ten bucks for this knife, and at that price it is a good value. But, let’s not kid ourselves... it isn’t a top of the line knife. I gave this one a 4 star rating for what it is, rather than for what it isn’t. What it is, is a reasonably well built utility folder that does a pretty good job of holding an edge, and has a fairly good gripping surface. It is not a weapon grade knife by any means, nor is it a knife that I would employ for hard use on a regular basis. This one is best suited to light tasks such as cutting rope, opening boxes, and other similar light duty demands. I would not trust the lockup on this knife enough to use it for anything that required a stabbing action, and I wouldn’t count on it to chop even small kindling for a camp fire. As long as you recognize the limitations of this knife, it makes for a reliable little daily carry knife for general utility use. For its price point, it is a decent knife. For not a lot more money, there are options that open the door to a wider range of uses... some of those are also Smith & Wesson knives if you happen to be a fan of the brand in general. One thing to be aware of when purchasing this knife, is that it does not feature any provision for quick one handed opening. Although it does come equipped with a thumb stud, the blade must be opened in a more traditional way rather than by a quick flick of the wrist while using the thumb stud to start the opening process. Put simply, this knife would make a great alternative to a traditional lock back type knife. It is however, a poor substitute for a true tactical folder. Read full review

For a $10 knife i wasnt expecting the cailac of knifes but i did expect it to function properly. Once the knife opened the locking mechanism goes to far and it gets stuck. After 1 week of use in the oil field i had to resort to using a quarter to click it back to the closing position. If it wasnt for that i would give it 4 stars opposed to 5 because it is cheaply light.

Not for throwing. The blade is soft and bendable. The handle is molded and will probably become brittle over time. It’s lightweight and serves its purpose. It has a good feel to it and fits my large hand pretty well. The sheath is nice. It’s not a high quality knife and wouldn’t pay more than $20 for it.

I guess based on the picture I thought the blade wouldn't be so thin. Also if you flip it open the lock bar gets wedged in between the blade and handle to where you have to get a pair of pliers to unlock it.

Handle wasn't as rubbery as the 65 dollar one of these I bought at Big 5. Seems about 10% smaller than that one. It is what I take when I go on walks and in town. It is a comfort to have a knife on you when you go places.
