Don't know a lot about amps but this got really great reviews from Audioholics. I think ATI makes this so its good quality stuff. Nothing cheap about it but the price. It is heavy. Really heavy. I also like the fact that it runs pretty cool. A lot cooler than my Denon AVR 5200, granted I know the AVR is doing more stuff inside.

I bought one of these 7x200w Monolith power amps a few years ago after reading positive reviews. It did not disappoint. The build quality is very good, it seems to amplify things very dynamically and without coloration. With 200w per channel there is plenty of headroom for things to stay and unsaturated. I am very happy with this unit. This of course comes at a price. Seven massive output transformers and a large power supply make this unit VERY heavy. It is probably one of the heaviest single objects in our house. No one should attempt to lift this unit alone. Do not expect to mount it inside a cabinet or on a shelf; you probably won’t be able to lift it in or on there, and it will most likely collapse you shelf. It is that heavy. Mine sits on the floor and I sometimes wonder how I will ever get it out ... but it sound absolutely wonderful. If you are serious about your power amps, this is for you.Read full review
