It is the best Garmin Nuvi 200W… 270W Battery Replacement kit you Can get in the market, and it is dirty cheap. It worked like a breeze to replace the battery in my old Garmin Nuvi 265W. Removed the barcode sticker at the bottom of the device. Removed two 8.4 mm T5 screws from the bottom of the device, using T5 Torx Screwdriver included with the kit. Using the plastic opening tools, included with the kit, I carefully wedged open the device. The wedging will work better if you do it slowly. Opened the device carefully, making sure to not tear/damage the gold ribbon cable connecting the screen to the motherboard. Unscrewed the four 6.70 mm screws holding the motherboard in place using a standard Philips #0 screwdriver. Lifted up the motherboard. Carefully disconnected the battery from the motherboard. Slowly wiggling the connection with a flat screwdriver makes it easier to disconnect the battery from the motherboard. Using the plastic opening tool as a wedge, included with the kit, pry the battery from the case. This can be fairly tough as the battery is glued to the case. Don't be afraid to use force and some good leverage. To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order. I turned on the Garmin and the new battery shoved 75 % charged. The battery works great the kit screw drivers worked fine the plastic pry things - while having a sweet design, failed to have enough strength the plastic lip bent when was attempting to pry the case apart I wound up using a flat bladed screw driver to do the prying it is So nice to not have the battery that holds a charge- my old one died while it was plugged in to the car. when I need the other Garmin's battery replaced I'll be ordering here

Easy to install and worked perfectly in my Nuvi 260. It is a little thinner than the original so I recommend getting a little of the thin double sided foam tape. I did not use it and the battery rattles around inside the case, so I will be opening it again to tape/pad the battery. The kit included a small torx driver for the case screws. My GPS had small allen head case screws, but I had the wrench I needed so no real problem. GPS works like new with the new battery.

I bought this kit to replace the battery in an old Garmin Nuvi GPS. As expected the kit included the battery and some tools but there was also a small printed circuit board which I learned was a battery charger wth usb input. No idea what I will do with that as it is not needed for my Nuvi. I followed a youtube video showing how to open the nuvi case and I used the tools supplied with the battery. The two plastic spudgers broke during the process but I was able to get the case apart. The two metal screwdrivers and the plastic pick were fine. Replacing the battery was uneventful once i found a roll of double sided tape since that is not included. Probably spent no more than 15 mins from start to finish and the new battery charged up fine once installed.
