This Phone is great!!!!! Easy to use, great screen brightness love the keys I've had a Blackberry Curve 8520 and this phone gives it a good run for it's money!!!! Great signal pictures aren't the greatest but aren't the worst either!!! Expandable Micro SD slot is great battery life is awesome!!!! No youtube sux but FaceBook, Email, Ebay Mobile, Amazon Mobile, and Craigslist mobile all work good. I recommend this to anyone who can see and type on a small qwerty keyboard txting is great if you can do that!!!!
I purchased this phone because my other one broke, and this one is one of the only phones that still uses the verizon towers in my area. I live in Halls, and though I love straight talk, most of the new phones us AT&T towers which has very poor reception where I live. The biggest problem I have with this phone is the small keys are hard to see. I am slow texting on the full keyboard because there is no t-9, and buttons are harder to see.
There is one main thing make sure you check the phone for water damage . The phone has 2 whits spots on it 1 above the battery and 1 on the battery . If the spots are red means the phone was water damaged at some point and straight talk will not even look at the phone. I bought one used and it was water damaged but everything seems to work for now but if something happens then no kind of repair possible. I like the phone and works great once it was new.
I love my new Samsung R355C phone. The phone is very easy to navigate and operate. Please be patient when activating the service for this phone as it can take anywhere from 48 to 72 hours before activation. In my case it took exactly 72 hours to be activated. I tried to transfer the phone number from my old Net10 phone to the new phone, but I was unsuccessful. No problem, I can live with a new phone number. If you have to deal with Net10 customer service, please remember to be very patient as the call center is outsourced to another country and the "English" of the agents is not always good. Be prepared to have them put you on hold numerous times at 3 minute intervals. Aside from the stress of customer service, the phone is a great value as it has the look of a Blackberry without the hassle of a service contract. Your friends will never know that you're paying only 10 cents a minute to talk and 2 1/2 cents per text! I decided to buy this phone because my daughter came home with the new LG900G and I wanted the same phone. At that time, I couldn't find the LG900G here on eBay, so I bought this instead. I had NO CLUE I had bought a "smartphone" until it arrived & my daughter told me what it was. This is an upgrade from my previous phone. I absolutely LOVE my new phone. It does everything my old phone did plus, it has bluetooth, so my daughter & I can share files! Plus, if you're a business person, you can exchange data files with someone else that has bluetooth! The phone also has a radio...I'd never known of a phone with a radio! Plus, text messages are ONLY .25 minutes, vs. .50 on my old phone. These are the features I feel make this phone worth the price I paid!
