it is light, and small but it does provide enough light if you are within 20 yards or so. This has the feature, where the light can be pointed upwards to bounce. I will take this with me, and use it when i can

I bought this flash to extend my shooting with the Canon G12. The flash is a simple one that needs no manuals to use. The flash controls are set in the camera menus. It works great for fill and bounce. Battery life is good, recycle times are fair, and exposure is correct. I was not able to use the wireless slave option. This is a small flash that is easy to take anywhere and do a good job.
I was impressed by this light. I wanted a small flash since the model Canon EOS I want doesn't have one built in. They make the 90EX which is smaller but everyone said this one is much better while being only a little bigger and they are right. Now I can go all the way up to a 600 model and do it all with only 2 flashes!

Great little flash that puts out a nice even flash, much more then the built in pop-up on most cameras. However, I am skeptical about the battery life, since it takes about a full minute to recycle after taking a few shots. I do agree with other reviewers that the slave sensor should be somewhere else on the flash unit other than on the front.
