I bought several of this full size BeanyBaby 'Claude Crab"; also the smaller McD- replica size of same multi colour Crab...together, this pair is a great Sewing Table set of PinCushions! I make them and add multi coloured pearlheaded sewing Pins to them & gift my family&friends, especially those ladies (and gents) who sew Pillows & throw Blankets for the gift-bags our friends make for fosterkids, new patients at ElderCare & Nursing Homes, VA patients & outpatients etc to comfort wheelchair & bedbound plus fosterkids in new settings...to let them know people care and God Loves Them....such wonderful use of hearts&hands to Make Things For Others To Be Cheered By...so I make My PinCushionBeanys for these great folks....also use the Crabs to be PowderPlushs in the bathroom...I put my favourite perfumed powders into Glass or Marble Jars and use the BeanyBaby Crabs as the PowderBrushs...they fit well into tiny spaces like above the thighs or under breasts, ETC...i am a softie...I feel that Claude is comforted with his little buddy above him...I arrange them so that the littl One is atop the bigger one but the legs don't block the view of Claude below! They have a name for this; Animacation orAnimologination...ANIMANATION? gIVING human qualities to animals or inanimate objects....something I did as a lonely child alone in my room where my mother didn't allow any toys....and anything she saw I 'liked"...she'd take and throw them away....didn't like "clutter"....she'd actualy go into my brothers ToyBox and 'clean out" things after a few months....felt they'd 'HAD THOSE DUST-MAGNETS LONG ENOUGH"....so that they'd hide their favourite things under the bed....but if it rained or an old neighbor man walked down our street, she'd stuff us all under the beds, cowering and chanting strange, paranoid things as if he was a deadly threat...or the thunder was going to 'get us"....childhood was a bad time for me so I made little "dolls"out of BobbyPins that would dance....I put a poor WalkingStick bug in my window screen one year....I feel bad forhim now, hope he made it out of there alive, not being killd by my paranoic 'mother; who never actually had any conversations 'with"me. so, making BeanyBaby Pincushions is a heart exercise for me, hoping they will comfort someone who's experiencing a tough time; to let them feel they aren't alone' that others DO CARE about them.
