Really Nasty NASTY Spray!
I had to be pepper sprayed in the eyes & face as part of my professional licensing in the State of Texas. The instructor used Fox Labs 5.3 so I can attest to it's effectiveness. Within 5 seconds of being sprayed, my eyes, skin, and nostrils were in searing pain and I had to fight to open my eyes. I was immediately unable to breath for about 30 seconds and was virtually blind within 15 seconds. The effects lasted for about 20 minutes but I had the advantage of a nearby decontamination facility which included baby shampoo, tubs of cool water, an eyewash station, and support. In the street, your attacker is on his own. No help there. This is really NASTY stuff and will stop or slow just about any attacker if properly deployed. I carry it both on and off the job now.

FOX pepper spray
Don't know until I see it in action..... But I love the re-search findings, the way it looks and feels. What I mean is I compared it side by side with my former Punch II (Law Enforcement issue MPD) and the spray nozzle on Fox is just a little wider (steam). Which means just a little more juice with a wider stream will come out and make contact. The more juice/pepper the hotter contact will be, which means faster effect. Not to mention the 5.3 million SHU compared to 2 million on standard issue. I know my defense weapons which includes sprays and I don't lie, very honest reviews. Make no mistake I was a big fan of Defense Tech MK-2,3 and MK-6 until I was forced to carry Punch II (New Department issue policy). Punch II was just as effective as Def Tech, I watched a guy run straight into a brick wall and knock himself out after being sprayed. Now new technology, Fox 5.3, everything I see is good and I think it is fast on it's way to be coming my #1 pick spray. I just need to hit someone during a real life situation (Not training) with it, then I will know for sure.Read full review

Great stuff ! You can use it without harming the attacker. You can zip it right out of the holster and spray it in your own eyes and before the attacker even realizes it you are jumping all around and wearing the knees out of your jeans yelling and begging for a bucket of water to dunk your head in. The attacker is so astonished by the instant results and totally unsaved he he realizes just how lucky he is that he brings you a bucket of water a half our later to wash your eyes out and becomes a pen pal.
