  • HVS: High value sunglasses.

Good glass and great value. There seems to be a nearly endless supply of Serengeti's Aviators on the Bay. Typically around $30 gets you lightly used frames and good glass. I lose sunglasses so buying used here is my strategy for always having quality glasses at my fingertips without tears when they are inevitably left somewhere, sat on or dropped and scratched. Good hunting.

  • Serengeti: Best Sunglasses on the Planet.

Good deal:good dealer. I've had about 20 pairs of these over the last 25 years: I'm rough on sunglasses. Their motto should be "Serengeti: you'll forget you have them on, 'til you take them off." Though I prefer the more expensive Strata version for outdoor use, these are the best for driving. I always have at least one spare pair.

  • Great Sun Glasses

These glasses are perfect for blocking the harsh blue light from the sun. I've been wearing a pair of these for over 20 years while I fly and love them. They are non-polarized so won't distort your view when looking through heated/multi layered windows. The lenses are glass so won't warp or distort your view like plastic lenses so often do. They are big lenses. Don't expect to win a fashion contest. Kinda nerdy, but if seeing other airplanes in the sky, or vehicles on the road, is more important to you than looking like a stud, these are the glasses for you.

  • Best all around sunglasses

I have all kinds of high quality sunglasses. Serengeti’s are the most versatile of the bunch. Not just bright sun, but foggy days, haze, even twilight they brighten and contrast images so much better than other brands. Also they are very durable my last pair lasted 12 years without delicate treatment.

  • Serengeti 5222 sunglasses

I have been wearing the Serengeti drivers for over 15 years. The large size helps block some of the sun from the side and the straight frame stops them from fogging up. I also like the lens that is darker upper and lighter bottom so if you have to look down at a map you do not have to take your sunglasses off. Like I say I have been wearing them for years and always have a spare pair!!

  • Corning Optics Serengeti Sunglasses

There is no better quality and vintage of sunglasses than Serengeti and during 1984-1994. Serengeti was made by Corning Glass company and were the highest quality optics made in the US at any time. This 1985 Species line featured a copper/amber, high contrast, photochromic glass lens. Species was either a lower cost line without the AR coating gradient of subsequent Drivers and Ski lens, or a pre AR model line. Either way, this box is complete and new, and a time capsule from 30 years ago. As stunning today as it was then. Extraordinarily rare new. The color of the lens is spectacular in sun and on snow.

  • Cross country driving essential

The open road... watching problems recede in the rear view mirror.. looking forward to new adventures and encountering interesting characters. Over 10 coast to coast road trips have revealed one essential item.. Excellent Sunglasses. Your precious eyes must be protected from damaging Ultra Violet rays and the direct and scattered visible spectrum emitted by our home star. Yes... if heading East.. sleep late then drive late. Heading West..up at dawn and park in late afternoon. But... throughout the day..there will be glare and glints and solar reflections from shiny surfaces that make you squint and can render you temporarily incognizant what is in your path. Rapid recurring transitions from direct sunlight to deep shadow in dense foliage from passing metal structures can be challanging. The proven way to reduce damaging rays and transitional blindness is with no-compromise sunglasses. Serengeti is a strong player in this game. Highly recommended.

  • Very good glasses

Very good glasses. However, my problem is I ordered two pair and on ly one pair was in the shipping box. Reported this to their web site and UPS was contacted to investigate. UPS determined it was not their problem since the shipping box was intact when delivered. Still waiting how the selling company is going to resolve this, since I want my second pair!

  • My favorite sunglasses for many years!

I have worn Serengeti sunglasses for forty plus years, and they are the best! Very durable, easy to keep clean and fit properly. I have tried other sunglasses, and none compare. I highly recommend these Serengeti aviator glasses!

  • Great sunglasses

Have worn these sunglasses for 35 years. Love them. Great vision, great value. High quality. This is my 4th pair in 35 years so that speaks for their durability. Only had one pair wear out, others were broken.
