A great first analog synth. A good value. Versatile. Enjoyable. Feature rich.
The Deepmind 12 is a very solidly made synth. The all metal construction and wood ends makes it an attractive and durable entry. There is a lot of features for the price. For me this synth also doubles as a controller. It's not an amazing synth. But it does sound good. It takes some work to dial in. There are many banks and sounds to tweak. The effects are decent. You get more effects that most other synths that offer little to no effects at all. I feel this is a great first synth for someone looking to get an analog synth. Thanks for the built in power supply!
I took the risk and got the Deepmind 12 without knowing what it was. Turned it on and realized that I got myself one of the best made, best sounding vintage but modern analog synths ever. I totally love this and will never let go. Behringer is one of my most favorite brands ever!
While there are a couple somewhat painful limitations (mostly, the inflexibility of the osc 1, and the fact that it's not multi-timbral), it's overall a wonderful synth. I've racked my brains to try and figure out why I love it so much (compared to many of the other analog synths out today), and how it could possibly be half the price of anything that can even touch it (for sound, live editing parameters, modulation options, effects, etc), and I can't come up with any reason at all. It's just a really lovely synth to play, to edit, and to hear. Wouldn't choose anything but the DeepMind 12 at this stage of the game.
Killer synth. Best bang for your buck you will find in the analog synth market.
My first synth... couldn't be happier. You really don't get better bang for your buck. Behringer used to be shit.... well they have really turned it around. A great product. The effects are worth a couple hundred.
Synth arrived in perfect condition. I am very pleased with the value and quality of the DeepMind 12. One of the best sounding and performing synths I have ever owned. Classic analog sound but with modern upgrades like effects, presets, WiFi and iPad control, and more.
