Purchased with great savings on Boxing week. Easy installation and configuration in my SSD enclosure. Performance is way above average as compared to my other SSD brand previously purchased. Samsung brand is still a trusted leader in SSD manufacturing for many years among the industry.

It works, but provides no speed or loading improvement over a standard Samsung SSD. Further if you make the mistake of having it be your boot drive, expect your bios and OS to get very confused. I took mine out. Only advantage I see is that it saves a drive bay.

Samsung quality and reliability, I have several drives and they’ve never let me down. Needed more capacity and this fit the bill. It’s more expensive, but worth it due to being my primary drive. The software download to migrate drives worked without issue. I’m very happy with the purchase.

Unlike the Samsung OEM model PM 981, this drive has full Samsung support with driver and Samsung Magician software. I note that there is suddenly quite a lot of competition between brands brewing presently, but Samsung is still the front runner.

I am actually quite impressed with the quality and with the read/write speeds on this SSD. great in value and not so harsh on the wallet. It helps me immensely as I and a Dj on twitch and I have A LOT of music in mp3 format which my Serato DVS plays the mp3's through a vinyl control emulation through noise mapping. I previously would have problems with mp3's/tracks not fully loading during my dj sets which makes serato freeze and I am stuck standing there looking like a fool. With this new SSD I have not had any further issues with this hence the faster read/write speeds. I put it through quite a bit of a work out since I dj anywhere from 8-20 hours at a time playing different songs every 2-4 minutes which is a lot of read and write as I edit a lot of the music on the fly... djing every 2-3 days it does not get a whole lot of time to rest but it has not been very hot either.. 30*c/86*f is about the average heat that I end up with even after many hours of use. All in the end, great quality and I will be purchasing another for more music use in the future... Besides any product like this that has a manufacture warranty of 5 years or over, That is definitely a product worth my earnings.Read full review

There is an adage that reads: "Always buy the best-- you will never be disappointed". That is certainly true here. Yes, the cost per GB is more than for rotating media. But the sheer advantage of using an NVMe storage device simply cannot be overstated. I got a 50x performance boost with this thing over a standard SATA magnetic drive. With more than a few applications running at once, Windows uses TONS of file I/O (even while you're not actually DOING anything with them). My system went from utterly unusable to faster than it was when new, so NVMe is definitely the way to go! While NVMe is great, Samsung makes it truly awesome. They have the best chip set, are simply faster and definitely worth the extra money even though competing drives are cheaper (and the 5yr warranty sealed the deal).Read full review

Cloned original SSD to this one with Mini Tool Partition Wizard with no problems. Its the one clone tool that I found that will automatically adjust the source size for a slightly smaller (24MB) target SDD. It's fast and accurate increasing the computers performance over the stock drive that failed. I prefer this over the slightly larger warranty replacement Toshiba 1Tb SSD.

I used this SSD in a MacPro 5,1 as a boot drive. I had to run a firmware updater in order for it to be compatible with the older MacPro. Samsung has the firmware on there site for download. The drive I got had the older version of the firmware and needed the update. Samsung is shipping drive's with the latest firmware but there are drive's in the market that need the update if you plan on using this in a Mac. With the update the drive is flawless and fast.

With the new Firmware Flashed this give incredible performance on a macbook pro 15 inch 2015. (Use adapter) 2.4Gb/s write and 2.3Gb/s read. Original SSD was only 0.7gb/s read/write. Dont listen to the articles, this 970 evo plus is the fastest ssd you will get for the macbook. Really good product and great value.

I know there are cheaper NVMe drives, but the Samsung drives have better durability. That is why I have four of these drives. I've never had a problem with any of them. The Samsung Data Migration tool makes is simple to copy your boot drive over to one of their SSD's. Once the clone was completed their app changed the system settings to boot from the new NVMe drive. This suprised me, because when I hit DEL to enter the UEFI I found that the first boot drive was already set to the new Samsung drive.
