This was a real bargain, but came with a problem. "Factory Serviced" probably means it was returned by the original buyer, and that is why the phenomenal discount, and I was not surprised or dismayed when it locked up. A tiny screw fell from the automatic buttonhole mechanism allowing another part to swing out of place and stop the machine. It took about an hour of careful inspection and manipulation of its mechanism to discover the problem and re-install the screw which feels as though the threads that hold it in place could be stripped. Returning the machine from Panama under warranty would have increased the total shipping expense to about $150, so I elected to forego the warranty and attempt to repair myself. So far, so good, and if the screw falls out again, it will only take about 10 minutes to fix it permanently this time. I am 71 years old, and under the covers, this machine looks a lot like the sturdy Singer my mother had when I was a child. It is solidly built and now works like a charm. I have no comment on the warranty as I elected to forgo that option. The only note of caution is that something "factory serviced" should be put to the test early because the warranty period is very short and one could not know whether or not the techs at the factory actually found and repaired the problem for which it was returned. I would buy another.Read full review

When you sew heavy materials you have to use regular thread in the bobbin and heavy or upholstery thread on the upper area. The thread and walker plate gets bent very easily. Also it much noiser than my old machine. The self threader inner hook bends easly and I already had to replace the plate and the bobbin holder. It sews good though.

I bought a heavy duty because I sew heavy duty. The auto needle threader doesn't work with "heavy duty thread." The lower end is a little difficult to thread. I sew nylon webbing. I mostly do the strongest Box-X stitching. When I turn a corner, this machine likes to skip a thread or leave a loop exposed. I sold my Brother medium duty machine for this Singer heavy duty machine. I sew on this machine 6 days a week and so far in the heavy duty end of business, It's not worth the money. To be fair, if you only do light work sewing, this machine might be fine but I really don't know how it will do. Oh, and this machine could also use a second light on the under side of the front. The single LED light in the underside rear isn't enough.

This is the 4th Singer sewing machine I have owned since 1967. This model has included some of the operational features as my first 2. I like the small size and easy-to-use dials, the bobbin and needle eyes.

Very good, easy to use. the easy needle threading makes it very habit forming, and useful. Its is industrial model, high speedy variety pattern and sewing and the powerful double and triple thick seam sweing make it especially valuable. Over all I am very satisfied and happy to have bought.

I am happy with the machine, But I only gave 4 stars because the machine is not the same color as it the picture. I know color doesn't make a machine work any differently but buying this particular one for me was due to the fact that it was a turquoise color, I could have selected this color machine with all the extra's certified refurbished from many other venders if the color didn't matter. But I still love the machine just the same and I did get a great deal, plus it came with a hard case which I would have had to buy separately with another machine. So it's all good & thank you the machine work very well.

The 4432 does everything Singer say it does. It sews faster than I can keep up with it! It has all the basic mechanical functions, plus a few more, like infinite needle position, auto buttonhole, 6mm width, and some decorative stitches too. It's easy to use, not too loud, and feels sturdy. It does move around a little at full speed, but a rubberized mat on my smooth sewing table solved that problem. The first thing I sewed was a stitch sampler, and all the stitches are perfectly tensioned and even, right out of the box. I never had an auto-needle-threader before, and now I'm completely spoiled. I've used this machine almost every day for six weeks now. So far I've pieced & quilted two throw-sized quilts, sewed two ironing board covers of heavy cotton utility fabric + aluminum-filled batting, and now I'm in the middle of a recycled blue jeans quilt project. This machine will sew through 6 layers of denim, although you do have to slow it down over those thick seams. Also be sure to use a fresh sharp needle with every big heavy-duty project, which goes for any sewing machine though. The manual doesn't state it, but you can adjust the look/tension of the stretch stitches by adjusting the buttonhole dial on the right. Not sure why Singer left out that helpful tidbit? I wish the presser foot dial had numbers, but really, unless you're doing some sort of specialty sewing, it does not need to be adjusted anyway. I'm not crazy about the gray color, but it does give it sort of masculine look, like an industrial machine, and will probably keep it looking cleaner over time. Overall I am very pleased with the quality. I believe all the Singer Heavy Duty models have the same motor & power, they just differ in extra functions & accessories. For a fast, strong machine, I highly recommend this one! I love it!!!Read full review

I have not used a sewing machine since 7th grade Home Ec class, and I am 56. This machine is easy to use out of the box. The needle threaded can be tricky but it is better than not having one. This is a COVID-19 self-isolation purchase. I have repaired many home items, and even hemmed a super thick insulated coverall that I use for dog training and astronomy in the winter.

This factory serviced machine looked brand new out of the box when I received it and has been functioning as new also. It is as heavy-duty as I was hoping and I couldn't be happier with the price. I purchased this machine as an upgrade to my hand-me-down very basic Brother machine because I wanted to be able to sew through multiple layers of material and the Brother simply couldn't handle it. The Singer 4432 machine was able to sew through 4 layers of decor fabric and 2 layers of foam stabilizer with no problem! I also tried out all of the stitches on scrap fabric and they look great. So far I'm very happy with the machine and highly recommend it, specially at just over $100.

I use My Brother LS-2125i which I still love however I upgraded to the Singer Heavy Duty 4432. Very quiet, very fast and I love that it not only makes button hole it also will see the buttons on your garment! I also am able to make masks much faster. I have photos to show my work. No thread breaks or jams so far. Looking forward to my upcoming projects.
