Our cat alerted us to the old one of these being broken batting it around the kitchen floor. Noticed the dishwasher door was folding down a little bit quicker than normal I was able to find our owners manual online and then find the part in the schematic and then search online until I found it. Ordered x2 just in case to have a spare. Was sort of a pain to get it installed but that was because of our dishwasher setup, not the parts fault. But actually got everything all put back together better than it was before I started so sort of a win/win. All in all not too painful of a repair - maybe 30 minutes tops. Next time (assuming there is another next time) it should go quicker now that I've done it before.

Manufacturer has a poor design for keeping tension on the dishwasher door & these pieces are certain to tear in a short period of time. Good thing they are in a package of 4 because I am certain they will be tearing just like the original ones on the dishwasher. Buying a 4 pack is a good value, however, as they are sold thru many supply places & are over $5 a piece!! Very easy to replace once you know where they go.

My grandson and I (grandma) installed two of these. We watched a youtube video first. Very easy to install but one side squeaked. Grandpa spayed silicone on the hinge and now it doesn't squeak but the dishwasher door does not stay up as well as it did with the squeak. I think it will adjust once the excess silicone is used up. Installer error, not the fault of the product. :)

Worked great. Dishwasher now closes slowly the way it used too.

Good value to do-it-yourself: Fixes dropping dishwasher door. Too-bad the old-pads eventually crack-and-break, leading door to drop when opened. I waited until both friction-pads broke before replacing. Easy fix to pull dishwasher slightly away from cabinet. Disconnected spring on each side, slid new friction pad on each hinge-lever, re-connected spings, returned dishwasher into cabinet. 15-minutes job, easy.

Dishwasher door was falling open. Found one pad was missing and the other broken. Took only 10 minutes to install two of these. Door now operates normally. Form, fit, function, and quality appear excellent. Easy install... Remove the two under counter screws, pull dishwasher out about six inches, disconnect door springs, install pads. Reverse procedure to complete install.

Good price. This is a very easy fix for dishwasher doors that free fall when opened. These rubber pad add friction to door to prevent free fall. Several videos online to show replacement procedure.
