The Hyperdeck Shuttle 2 Can record uncompressed, or in Apple Pro res 422, or in avid DNX formats. Any live event recorder will love this because you can record for six hours or more if you have a large enough SSD drive in it. I built a protective case to keep the hard drive in place and to protect the connectors. It has both HD SDI, and HDMI inputs and outputs. And you can record HDMI and monitor through the HD SDI or the HDMI real time. And the reverse is true. Record HD SDI, and monitor through the HD SDI or HDMI connectors. Get the funny cable to convert BNC to the small European input and you will be happy. Turn your DSL are into an all day camera, or record a commercial camera or output from alive switcher and your show is actually over the moment the show is over.

Does exactly what I need it to do - records audio and video signal in the codec I want. I've only used twice in professional situation so far but pressed the red button and wah-lah - video ready to edit. Ours is attached to ATEM switcher output for conferences, panels, etc.of 1.5 hrs. or more.
