Pros: Fit, form fitted, these are comfortable to wear for an extended period of time. Acoustics: The sound from these HP's are clear and concise. What I expected from a higher quality product. Weight: They are lighter than some-others I've had in the past, meaning longer 'on' time. The cable is lightweight too and long enough for my general purposes. Not a coiled cable. Durable: I'm not hard on equipment, however I have had durability issues in the past including HP's being far too delicate. These are not delicate. My take: Good to great in all the areas I require a HP to be. Haven't found the con yet...

I love these reference headphones. Everything has a nice balance, not too bass heavy, but not lacking bass either. I got the 80ohm version to work alongside my Scarlett Focusrite 2i4 and they work great with it; I don’t need a separate headphone amp to push these and that’s something I was looking for being on somewhat of a budget. If I had to choose 1 pair of headphones under $200 for my studio and I didn’t have the luxury of also having an open-back set of phones, these would be it. Being closed-back, they’re great for recording; almost no sound escapes into my recordings, the ear muffs are extremely comfortable and also look great. The cord is pretty long which is great for moving around the studio. I do however wish these had a removable cord for if the cord goes bad I could switch it out; but I would absolutely still buy these again if they went out, though I don’t expect them too. Excellent job Beyerdynamic!Read full review

Tough to think that you could ask much more for the price. Mine are the 80Ω model Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO Studio Headphones. Wanted to type that as I have seen many times a review that was not for the correct product. They sound very nice. Plenty of bass. They do not scream at you with sibilance or overwhelming midrange. They are kind of laid back. I have tried them on a Kenwood KR 9600 a Maverick Audio A1 Tube magic and a Yamaha AX-900 and they sound very nice with every one of those. I also checked them out on my Nakamichi RX-202. It sounded very nice still but the Nak had a time pushing enough power to them. Yes, I would buy them again. I feel they are constructed quite nicely. The band around your head is all metal and that is good. The adjustments on each side work well. The top of the band is cushioned well and the headphones are pretty comfortable. Just so I put this out there. I really do not like headphones period so these getting thumbs up from me is a pretty good deal. They actually are made in Germany by the way. The Germans make some really nice stuff and these carry that tradition on. They seem tough too. Not at all like they would break easily. Decent box nothing special though. If I had to complain I would say that I really wish they had a replaceable cord. Just a mini phono stereo jack so you could replace the cord easily or swap cords possibly upgrade the wire? By the way, I knew that it was not replaceable when I bought them. Oh yes one more thing...The cord comes out of the left side of the earphones. I did not like that but whatever. OK that's all I can think of right now. Buy some and try them out !Read full review

These DT770 80ohm headphones were exactly what I was after. They are super comfortable for all day use. Feel solid and well constructed like they will last a long time. I went with the 80ohm as I drive them off a Fiio EK10 dac/amp off my computer. The 250 would've been too power hungry and the 32 are really for more mobile or straight off the computer I believe. So the 80's work well for me. Sound is crisp and sharp but not very bass heavy. The Fiio amp/dac does have a little bass boost switch that I tend to always have on and I find helps. If youre a big bass head you might want to look at other headphones. Otherwise I'm very happy with these. The only thing I would maybe change is a removable cord. That way you could replace it if damaged or adjust the cord length if desired. The cord is nice and thick and seems of high quality. But it's also pretty long....Read full review

Definitely the best headphones I've owned so far. I was a little disappointed with Audio Technica's ATH-M50's... these are much better. The sound is very clear and natural with a sense of space to it. They're also extremely comfortable with the nice spacious ear cups and velour pads. The removable headband pad is a nice touch too. If it wears out you can just unsnap it and replace it. Mine is holding up really well so far though, so it should be at least a few more years before I need to use that feature.
