In terms of exotic production bikes, MV Agustas stand alone. They command dizzying retail prices and feature only the finest engineering, parts, and workmanship. To illustrate this, the list price of a Yamaha YZF-R9 is $12,499. If you want more in the way of exclusivity, you might prefer the Ducati Panigale V2 at $18,995. But if that doesn’t hit the spot, you’ll need $24,598 for an MV Agusta Superveloce 800.
If almost $25,000 for a motorcycle seems steep, the good news is that you can have something like this example with just over 200 registered miles for about $10,000 less.
“Like New. Still Under Factory Warranty”
It’s no surprise that the Superveloce is “like new.” It shows a mere 225 miles. The owner is a collector who has moved on from bikes like the MV. Thus, it awaits a new owner, still with a portion of the factory warranty intact.
A scan through the images reveals a bike in exemplary condition. The details set it apart. From the three exhausts that follow the curvature of the rear wheel to the faux leather tank strap, single-sided rear arm, and the potent radially-mounted Brembo brakes, it’s a lesson in fit, finish, and design.

The Superveloce is based on its more extreme and achingly beautiful stablemate, the F3, but with a whiff of “cafe racer” to the styling to evoke MV’s historic racers.
The idea was to produce an F3 derivative but with more emphasis on comfort. However, as if drawn inexorably to its track-focused past, the Superveloce still features a lofty seating position, aggressively low-set clip-on bars, and high foot pegs. Less extreme it may be, but there will be no mistaking this canyon/track weapon for a bike capable of covering significant distances in comfort.

Powering the MV Agusta Superveloce is a gem of a three-cylinder, 798-cc motor. Made popular in recent years by Triumph, three potters distribute their weight better than a four-cylinder, and they all make a distinctive, racy sound. The Superveloce motor produces a fearsome 147 horsepower at 13,000 rpm. This is easily the highest output for a middleweight three-cylinder machine.
Upside-down Marzocchi front forks and a Sachs spring/damper unit at the rear keep the power under control. Both are, of course, fully adjustable. A powerful suite of electronic aids works alongside the top-shelf suspension and braking. There are four ride modes, eight levels of traction control, rear wheel lift mitigation, and ABS. This is all achieved by using a six-axis internal measurement unit (IMU), which uses accelerometers and gyroscopes to gather information.
Reviewers confirm that this is a magical thing to ride. But would you prefer to keep the miles down and use it as a static piece?
