I have an oily t-zone and when i'm wearing a lot of make-up (as i do for a date) my face gets really shiny. i put this powder on with a kubuki brushi (i keep both in my purse) on my forehead, nose bridge/parts of cheeks, and chin and the shine immediately goes away. basically the product does its job without leaving any sign of me wearing make-up. the only problem is that i "feel" it on my skin. i normally only wear eyeshadow and eyeliner and feel any kind of face makeup when applied. since i apply this one to already oily skin it feels even worse. i've tried using it as a preventative measure but on humid days i still get oily when wearing other face makeup (bronzer/other balm products). hope i helped.

Not my favorite mattifying powder, but alright. I feel like I have to put on way more than is comfortable (as it can feel heavy if you put on too much) to achieve the kind of mattifying finish I like from a powder. I find I prefer my drugstore Rimmel Stay Matte powder for removing and preventing shine. I DO like this powder A LOT for blending and setting my other face powders. [NOTE: I have fair to light, sensitive skin.]
I love theBalm products and highly recommend everything they sell. This translucent powder is perfect for applying over your makeup. It doesn't dry up your skin but does take away the oiliness on my tzone. Like I said before I highly recommend this translucent powder plus it comes in a cute pinup package!
Its cheap and top of the line love it.
