First off, if you do choose to buy a Zmodo system, definitely get the extra 3 year warranty that gets offered for extra. My system lasted just over a year and cameras started to fail, and you have to call Zmodo tech and get numbers from the box and the cameras that have to be repaired/replaced. This takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get it/them back. Technical ppl are nice and take the time to help you. The ones that you deal with for general help, is about a 50/50. Some ok others with poor and rude attitudes. (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PRINT OUTS AND SCREENSHOTS OF ALL eBay and them from the moment you decide to buy. Your going to need them. My second system and most recent experience with them, made it to were ill never get this brand again. If the cord from box to camera is to short... its to bad, they dont make or “know were” to get them. Any heat over 104 degrees will kill the night vision in each camera. 6 of the 8 had the happen. And the hard drive box messed up. You got to send it in with no replacement till they get yours and decide what to do. So with those things to think about, good luck picking a system brand that works with your needs. As you can see in the first picture the bottom half is the night vision going out on my 7th camera now. Its so bad you wont be able to make out faces or license plat numbers.Read full review
