|Why a Daughter Needs a Dad is one father's loving reflection upon what he brings - or hopes to bring - to his daughter's life. When I sat down to write, Gregory E. Lang observes, I wanted to express the essence of what I think is unique about the relationship my daughter and I share. He began to think of the things they had done together and how important their moments together have been. He thought of what sort of wisdom he could impart by virtue of a strong relationship, how their years together could provide a bond that would guide her as she grew into womanhood. The first time I read what I had written, he writes, I saw a list of what a daughter might ask her father to do for her. The second time I read it I saw a list of all that I hope to do for my daughter. The result is a book that will inspire fathers to embrace the important role they hold in their daughters' lives, to provide them with the love, nurture, and support they seek, and to enjoy the blessings that are reciprocated in kind.|

This book is a must have for any family that has this relationship. I bought this for my husband for Father's Day after the birth of our second daughter. It has many reasons and great advice for new dad's and older fathers. I recently purchased this again for my dad to let him know why I need him and why our realtionship is so important to me.
Great books for the newborn parents
This book and its alter are wonderful quick reads and references for the new parents. We purchased 2 copies of each for our sons who were both having little girls. They are touching and profound page by page...not just for the new parent, but a great little keepsake for the child as she grows. In my opinion, a must have.
Why a Daughter Needs a Dad
I bought this for a birthday gift for a college age granddaughter. It seemed like an appropriate time for a reminder for a young adult. I was impressed by the book. Everything he wrote is very true and close to the heart of both a father and a daughter. In enjoyed the book. Both she and her mother seemed to appreciate the thoughts expressed in the book.
Why a Daughter Needs a Dad
I saw this book several months ago in a gift store and knew this would be a perfect gift for my daughter from her dad. She was getting married and although he was "giving away" his little girl to another man she would away need her daddy and her daddy would always be there for her.
