almost too perfect
Nice concert but almost too perfect and a bit generic sounding. The Eagles have perfected the art of the concert but they are now too perfect. They are very precise and exact in performing their music there is no unexpected surprises. The nicest surprise was Tim B Schmidt honoring Randy Meisner, a real nice touch. The guitar solos are now mostly done by "hired" hands who are perfect at playing the Don Felder/Joe Walsh solos note for note, but with no inventiveness. Walsh does do solos here but they are just sort of a tip of the hat since most of it is done by non-entity hired guns. The Reverend Deacon is a fine replacement for his Papaa,but here too he is nondistictive in having a voice of his own, where you could go, "oh that;s the reverend deacon"..
