Tfg V10 reels
These reels are perfect for someone just getting into carp fishing on a budget long tapered spool looks nice in black, reel would look a lot better if that was black instead of the bluey gray colour, drag is a bit tight also a shallow spool would be better, can't see why you need 400yds of line to fill spool all said and done someone on a budget wouldn't go wrong with these reel. I use mine for pike fishing 👍👍

A reel with flaws.
It's no wonder they are being sold at under £30.00 It was pitched as a £100 reel.This is a well made reel in places but has flaws. The spool is a bad design. It is too long and the line falls off the layup and can pick up a loose coil when you cast. Not good! Lowering the line capacity helps but defeats the purpose of a long range casting reel.The handle spindle on my one was loose and had to be hit with a punch to spread the metal to get it to grip on the handle. However on the plus side it has more ballraces than is usual on a reel. Note ballraces not ball bearings! Handle knob has two. Spool has two. There are even more inside.

V series reels
I've had 3 off the first v10s 8000 in black for years never had an issue or problem used them every weekend .I purchased 2 more that came in blue which didn't seem as solid but used for marker /spod /Predator fishing still good reel but line lay isn't as good . I also have 5 off the V8 distance reels which have also been good reels never had problems or issues . I always keep mine serviced and oiled /greased up . Spare spools were an issue but managed to get spare spools /reels from various sources going for peanuts I personally cannot fault the reels and have other brands of reels costing much more than £30 but you do get faulty goods regardless of price at times regardless of make
