Great sound, but not the best

The 1000x has an above average sound and I am satisfied with what it delivers. I have what is called perfect pitch, so when the sound is not "spot-on" it is an irritation. If I had to do all over, I still think the LG has a better mix of lows and highs, than the Sony and Bose High-end Bluetooth headphones. I am not a fan of the way the earbuds are mounted, but the sound quality helps me look past that feature.

Mics are in the earpieces.

I have 3 LG headsets that don't do well with outside noise interfering with a conversation. So decided to try the this Sony. I love the reel-in cable storage on the LG headsets. I thought if the Sony headset had BETTER NOISE CANCELLATION I could deal with the bad earpiece storage on the sony. I don't try to fumble with trying to put the earpieces cables in the slots they made. So I just leave the earpieces hanging around top of my chest when not in use. But that is a problem when doing anything leaning over as they flop around your face. When in a call outside even a slight breeze causes whistling, thumping noises on the mics the caller complains. The people I call also complain they can barely hear me and sounds like I'm using speakerphone. That is because I found the mics built into the outside of the earpieces. The build quality of the headset feels excellent. But the Mics positions and noise cancelling is the biggest drawback!

Great product at a great price!

Great product! I was replacing my sony wireless WI-C400 (who's L side just stopped working one day, without any warning) and these blow them away!! Noise cancelling is great! (Not 100%, but then, neither are earplugs!) Ambient sound function works best when you're not jamming. All in all, I couldn't be happier! Battery life is nothing like the WI-C400, but it will last an entire day! Get a pair... you won't regret it! [Paid $117 for a pair in an "open box." Great price!!]

Great with one fault.

I love these headphones. The only downsize is you have to take one earpiece out of your ear to use as microphone for a phone call. Other than that, it's a great product. The noise cancelling is spectacular.

waiting for nexr generation

this sony headphone does offer good sound quality and long battery life. However, compare to my overhead 1000xm3, the noise cancelling efficient of this headphone reach 80% of the 1000xm3. Overall, it's good for home, cafe and library use!
