Waterproof to 40 feet, same sight picture as Eotech

it's a great looking reflex site. It's not a holographic like the Eotech but the sight picture is the same and just as clear. The mount seems solid, holds zero just fine, the optic seems tough with the magnesium hood, and the night vision is awesome. I like the looks of it mounted on an AR and love the reticle. the buttons seem a little cheesy but work fine. it also has some red reflections down below the reticle that are a little annoying but don't interfere once your eye is on the reticle. It might not be "battle tested" but for my purposes it works very well. Several of my buddies shot my AR with this sight and wanted to know all about it, they were impressed. Can't validate the battery life yet as I've only had it a couple weeks.

Not US Military spec at least....

I guess if the military would allow their sights to fit sloppily on the rail, and tilt nearly 45 degrees to the side when tight enough to hold zero. This sight will work if you have no care that this sight will sit canted in comparison to your iron sights. I mounted it on a few different rifles thinking maybe it was a manufacturing defect on the one rifle’s rail. It is not. I even returned one thinking a new one would not have this issue. It does and they all do. It’s not canted enough to where it won’t work. Just enough to drive you crazy. Too bad because it still cowitnesses perfectly with the irons. I believe the design of the QD mount is terrible. The claws are uneven which cause the cant.

SIghtmark Ultra Shot M-Spec reflex sight

Did not have the money to spend on an eotech sight for $500-$600 bucks. Saw this military spec "eotech like" sight and decided to try it. Had mixed reviews when I researched it. The sight is waterproof and shock proof, a feature I wanted on my rifle. The red circle-dot is very crisp and clear and gets very bright to very dim for night vision applications. It boasts a 1000 hour battery life. Even if it gets half that, I am good with it. These are $200 plus, but you can find them anywhere from $165 up. So far I am very happy with the fit/quality and function of this sight. My iron sights co-witness perfectly with the sight.

Marlin 60 stock

I had a 50th Anniversary Marlin 60 model with a broken stock and this was my solution. A little trouble with the fit, I had to enlarge the screw hole by the trigger guard. I applied some rubber grip material at the grip and added a leather rap to the chin rest for a custom look. I'm very satisfied with the finished product although I would like to have been able to mount the medallion, from the original stock (50th Ann. badge), I like the look. This rifle has a longer barrel (20") so to help counter the weight and for obvious reasons, I installed a scope. This brings the center of balance back, closer to where it should be. So now it has that "tactical" look that is popular now. All & all, this is a great gun for plinking and small game and quite an eye catcher. I gave it 4 stars because of the little bit of drilling and snap on forearm attaching system which isn't the best. IMHO this was a great solution for a broken stock and well worth the price.

Happy Medium!

If you want high end, eotech like features at half the price don't look any further. This unit is solid, I have had no problems with this sight as of yet (knock on wood). The 2 moa center dot is perfect for precision shots between 50 and 100 yards easy, and I'm sure further but I have not zeroed out farther as of now. Brightness control works great for mid day as well as pitch dark in the woods when I'm waiting for hogs to pop out. Seriously an awesome holosight. Trust me you won't regret it! 👍🏻
